What material can I use to glue as black trim on a white kitchen cabinet?

May 9th, 2008 | by admin |
Jon asked:

I just repainted my stained kitchen cabinets white (by sanding, priming and painting) and I wish to change the trim to black (we are doing a 50’s kitchen.) Any ideas on what material I can use to glue to the cabinets?
Thanks.

Get some contact adhesive. I like the spray cans best but you’ll need to tape off before you spray to keep from getting it on the rest of the cabinet. Hi Strength-90 is the name of what I use I believe and it’s made by 3M. Spray on both surfaces-Let dry to tack-put it together. It WON’T come off! You can find it at Lowe’s and probably Home Depot. Great stuff!
