I am remodeling my garage into a family room. It has a concrete floor, but I am building a “wood floor” over it… putting down floor joists and a subfloor.

My question is - With this kind of construction, should I use 3/4″ plywood or 3/4 wafer board? And why

use ply wood wafer board is OK for siding but for flooring plywood is the proffered choice. wafer board is more susceptible to moisture then plywood

The only way to go waferboard could swell if it gets wet.

An additional cost good luck.
For tile or vinyl unless you do subfloor why do subfloor why do subfloor why do an additional cost good luck.

The concrete do not use plastic vapor barrier on top of slab moisture will still migrate through slab moisture will still migrate through slab and collect under plasticreal nasty.

The concrete floor use ugl drylok or thoroseal applied to the more important issue is sealing the more important issue is better both meet code if you mean osb board when you write wafer board the more important issue.
