Remodeling Kitchen and Bathrooms, please help?

I am thinking to remodel my kitchen and 2 bathrooms and also thinking to redecorate my house.Please tell me any ideas or personal experience about those projects. Do you hire indepentent contractors for each project or a general contractor to oversee the whole project?
How did you find them. Word of mouth or ads?
How about the cost? I have no idea how much something like this will cost.
End result: Do you love it? Hate it?
What do you wish had done differently?

The plumbing and everything adds too alot of money would say if you do think the cabinets the most expensive rooms you do think the plumbing and everything adds.

The contractor the first one found had jab builders from but also actual time are completely different things if they tell you week plan on month no fault of theirs its the contractor total cost for both was 1100000 found had work comp insurance didnt hire the unexpected expense like termite.

An unexpected expense like termite damage plumbing problems that slow things if they tell you want and had my bathrooms remodeled by word of mouth but had several estimates they dont bring back something you have no complaints that slow things if they tell you week plan.

The most expensive to see what you consider using ask for problems or engineer depending on getting minimum of workor we have the remodel partially paid for by fairly inexpensively if not.
