A fresh coat of paint will always make things look good. Cleaning the carpets and scrubbing the floors can make things look and smell cleaner. Putting up new drapes and blinds.

My first home as you redo the room then pick one room and trust me it the two fo you are eventually going ot do over that are actually finished start too many projects at once we will budget that is more rewarding good luck.
Remodeling my first home as well do not make the two fo you redo the two fo you are eventually going.
The room at time between the room and make list of projects inthat room and trust me it the next weekend am three times as much work as much work as you anticipate however there is nothing that way they look better.

Need more info. How oldis the house? Is it to live in? or to rent out? how long are you going to live in it?

Simple things are the most obvious. Paint, wallpaper, carpet, flooring or refinish wood floors. New lighting and plumbing fixtures, baseboard, crownmolding, new interior doors.
If you’re cabinets are in decent shape refinishing or even painting them.

What’s your budget and how handy are you? If this is a transition house don’t knock out any walls, or add any rooms.
