My puppy chewed on the corner of my kitchen cabinet. How can I fix it?

May 26th, 2008 | by admin |
Zach S asked:

The dog chewed on the base of the cabinet (not the doors) and its something I can’t replace (appears to be one large section of wood). He chewed the finish off and took out a few centimeters of the wood with it.

That sucks! Ok if its the side of the cabinet you can buy and oak veneer which is1/16 thick and can be glued on and stained. if its the style or rail the best you can do is sand it and rub some colored putty in the chewed area and spray a finish on it. you can also build it up with rock hard wood putty which can be sanded sawed or shaped when it drys and stain it to match the cabinets… good luck You can contact me at if you need further advice
