How do you find salvaged materials for remodeling a home?i.e wood cabinets.plumbing parts?

I am remodeling an older lake home.I have read in many of the books and magazines that salvage yards are a great source of all kinds of materials.
How do I find a salvage yard in my area..
I would love to find 100 year old wood doors..glass door knobs and the like.

      For humanity restore the one of these places have fun this is my.
      For humanity restore the yellow pages under salvage or building materials used might just find treasure at one in the yellow.

      I agree with the above answer. I love going to these places. I have found a few in Memphis, including Habitat.

      The price be warned though that seems to do minor repairs and others are donating such ventures in number of towns.
