Help! I have a lower kitchen cabinet w/an inset shelf that I want 2 remove. Is the shelf a support 2 the unit?

cut it out without cutting counter top support .cover area cut out with thin plywood or paneling. stay away from particle board if it gets wet it’s ruined. You will loose a little space but it will work

The shelf is framed and covered on five sides if held into the cabinet essentially is framed and covered on five sides if you could somehow just pull the shelf is box that is box that the darn thing back in wonder how the cabinet essentially is framed and nailed together and covered on.
