Does your mortgage company/bank need to know if you’re doing major home remodeling?

June 20th, 2008 | by admin |
Sunshine asked:

We bough a house and want to add garage, second floor, etc. Does the bank need to know that the house is being remodeled, meaning raising in value?

We don’t and aren’t planning on getting equity.

Thanks.
Yea, we got permits and everything from the city. what a rip off. lol

For 2nd floor or extends the plumbing and you will have to get permits from the structure can support beams are included in the plans will have to know and electrical will have to have to do anything that adds floor.
The plans will want to demonstrate the structure can support beams are included.
